[0:00 — Hook] If your cold emails aren't getting replies, it's almost never the subject line. It's one of these three mistakes — and number two costs you 80% of your potential responses.

[0:08 — Mistake 1] Mistake one: you led with you. "Hi, I'm [name], I'm a freelance designer, I've worked with…" Wrong. The first sentence has to be about THEM, not you. Open with a specific observation about their business. "I noticed your Q3 launch shipped without a thank-you email sequence" is a million times better than "I'm a designer."

[0:24 — Mistake 2] Mistake two — the big one — your CTA is too big. "Want to hop on a 30-minute call?" is asking for too much from a stranger. Replace it with a one-line yes/no: "Worth me sending the 3 things I'd change?" — that's a 2-second commitment, not a 30-minute one. Reply rates triple.

[0:46 — Mistake 3] Mistake three: you sent it Tuesday at 10am. Everyone sends Tuesday at 10. Your email lands on top of 47 others. Send Sunday evening, 7pm in their time zone. The inbox is empty and you're the only person trying.
