First Customer Playbook

Day 1 — Pick the niche. Audit three Reddit / X communities you spend time in. List the 3 problems you keep seeing posted. Pick the one that recurs at least once a week and that you have firsthand experience solving.

Day 2 — Build the first template. Open Notion, build a workable solution to that one problem in under 4 hours. Don't over-design; the first version is for validation, not aesthetics.

Day 3 — Launch the landing page. One Notion-hosted page with: hero ("For [niche] who struggle with [problem], this template solves it in 10 minutes"), a 30-second loom of you using it, a $19 buy button via Gumroad, three testimonial placeholders.

Day 4 — Post in the community. Share the loom in the same Reddit / X thread where people first asked about the problem. Don't sell — show. End with "DM me if you want it."

Day 5–6 — Iterate based on the first 3 conversations. Update the template + landing page based on what people actually asked for.

Day 7 — Ship the public launch. Cross-post to IndieHackers + your X. Aim: first 5 paying customers at $19. If you hit that, the niche is real and you scale. If you don't, run the prompt again with a different niche.

Offer: "Notion CRM Setup for Solo Consultants" — a done-for-you setup of a customer pipeline, project tracker, and invoicing dashboard inside the buyer's Notion workspace. 90-minute Loom walkthrough included.

Tier 1 — Starter ($97): Setup of the 3 core templates inside the buyer's existing Notion. Loom walkthrough. 1 round of revisions.

Tier 2 — Pro ($297): Everything in Starter + custom integrations with Stripe, Calendly, and Mailchimp + a 30-min strategy call to map the buyer's specific workflow.

Tier 3 — Team ($797): Everything in Pro + setup for up to 5 team-member workspaces + a quarterly review call for the first year.

Anchor logic: Tier 1 is the "obvious yes" — buyer can DIY in 6+ hours but pays $97 to skip it. Tier 2 captures the "I want it customized" segment willing to pay 3x for personalization. Tier 3 lands one or two team buyers per month and quietly funds the rest of the operation.

Most likely conversion split: 70% Starter, 25% Pro, 5% Team. At 10 customers/month that's $1,800 MRR-equivalent at the floor. Prompt 4 ("Sales Page That Closes") writes the page that earns this split.
